Start the Conversation
- Start respectful conversations with friends, family, classmates, colleagues, neighbours, & church members!
- Practice pro-life apologetics with a buddy so you’re ready for those real conversations.
- Wear / use pro-life merch – t-shirts, hoodies, stickers, etc – as a great silent witness & a way of starting conversations!
- Host a pro-life movie night for friends with discussion afterwards (Unplanned, The DropBox, Juno, Bella etc).
- Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper.
- Host an apologetics training evening or even organize a whole pro-life training day – we’re happy to help!
Go Public with Your Convictions
- Join a NZCBR street outreach or door-knocking group!
- Host a pro-life sign on your house fence or in your yard.
- Attend the March for Life: marchforlife.nz
- Host a sign-making party with friends beforehand: marchforlife.nz/sign-ideas/
- Help promote the event, volunteer as a marshal, offer to take photos, provide music etc
Engage Online
- Follow key pro-life thinkers on FaceBook, Instagram, YouTube, or podcasts.
- Share meaningful pro-life content, like quotes, images, testimonies, & articles
- Create your own pro-life content.
- Hit the “Going” button on pro-life events so it pops up on your friends feed too!
- Invite your friends to pro-life events.
- Promote events like ACTIV8 & March for Life.
Use Your Creativity
- Help design graphics, social media content, flyers etc for your local pro-life group.
- Write a short story, poem, or piece of music that expresses the pro-life message.
- Create short YouTube or Instagram reels explaining the pro-life perspective.
Volunteer & Serve
- Volunteer with your local pregnancy centre
- Sort donations, help in the op shop, do admin, manage their social media
- Train as a support worker to talk with men & women in crisis
- Help manage their online chat line
- Donate high-quality goods to your local pregnancy centre.
- Train to become a post-abortive support worker
- Support a new mum you know – take around a cooked meal, or offer to babysit or clean.
Speak to Decision Makers
- Visit your local MP to talk about pro-life issues.
- Write an email or letter of encouragement to a pro-life MP.
- Sign important pro-life petitions:

- Vote for pro-life MPs and council members.
Become a Church “Influencer”
- Pray about abortion regularly both privately and publicly (e.g. in your small group)
- Ask your pastor or priest to speak on life issues.
- Organize a pro-life night for your youth group.
- Encourage your church to observe “Respect Life Month” in October – www.respectlife.org/respect-life-month
- Ask your church to have pregnancy help and post abortive help flyers available.
- Ask your church to advertise events like March for Life or ACTIV8 in their church noticeboard, newsletter, & from the pulpit.
- If your church has a church library, encourage them to include pro-life books or even donate some
- Thank and encourage anyone who speaks on pro-life issues at your church.
- Join or start a pro-life prayer group!
At Uni
- Join or start a pro-life club: prolife.nz
- Write a pro-life article for the campus magazine.
- Run a stall on campus engaging people in conversation.
- Put up pro-life posters or pregnancy help flyers on the uni noticeboards.
- Host a public talk or debate with a pro-life speaker.
Give & Fundraise
- Donate financially to a pro-life organization, worker, or pregnancy centre.
- Host a bake sale, sausage sizzle, or quiz night to raise money for a group or centre
- Sponsor someone to attend ACTIV8 or do a pro-life internship.
Keep Growing!
- Read, listen to, and watch pro-life content to become better equipped.
- Show up to pro-life events and trainings.
